  2. Hello,
We are novice carpenters, and noticed that the detailed plan does not indicate what type of fasteners or hardware to use. For example, where two 4x4's meet, what type of screws, bolts, etc should we use?

  3. If you want to put windows in the coop, make sure that you place thick wire over them so that while the chickens can get fresh air, nothing can get in and hurt them.

  7. Hi, I just bought this design. My concern is that the design is in inches. I live in Europe and I am not sure if 2x4's and 4x4's are available on the market. I think not. Do you have the same design in mm's, too?
Also, did you ever do the connection design you talked about before on 26 October 2012? If you did, it will be very nice to have it. I don't really want to go about designing the connections myself.

  8. Within these bounds, there are very simple ways to do them: if living in a cold environment, you can provide a snug home simply by building a sturdy structure and completely covering it with soil.

    1. There are 2 types of units in this plan:
      - "Units: Inches - fractions" is the original
      - "Units: Millimeters - Decimal" is to be converted.
I think "metric sizes" that you need the "Units: Millimeters - decimal". It is available in this plan.
