I was curious about the dimensions. I did the manual adding of numbers for lengths of wood. For anything less than 8ft I would find pieces that needed to be cut with the same type of wood (2x4 for example). That way I could put shorter cuts together and save on buying lumber. I see that your calculations are using simple division and dont account for the cuts and instead just sum everything and divide. Wanted to point this out.
